No Name Club National Youth Awards Hosts of The Year for 2024 have been chosen!

Saturday 27th of April saw the No Name Club family descend upon Newpark Hotel in Kilkenny for what is often dubbed 'the highlight of the No Name Club year'! No Name Clubs from all around the country came together to celebrate the 9 finalists who had made it through to Finals after two tough regional competitions in February.
The two day event began with finalists and their families arriving on Friday evening. Young people were treated to a meal and a night of bowling in what served as a bonding activity to introduce all finalists to each other and ensure they were comfortable before the big event. Finalists families enjoyed a meal with staff and board members in Newpark Hotel and got to chat all things youth awards and celebrate their young people.
On Saturday, our wonderful youth clubs from around Ireland joined us in Newpark Hotel for a formal sit down dinner and awards show. Our young people had the opportunity to meet up with other clubs, admire the beautiful style on show, get photos taken in our selfie mirror and lots more fun!
Our 9 finalists each took to the stage and were interviewed by No Name Club Youth Council Chairperson Siobhán Hoare and Youth Council member and director Fionnán Gallagher. Each finalist had a short on stage interview and performed a party piece. It was a wonderful showcase of the exceptional young people who attend our clubs.
After lots of diligence in marking, our judges had their unanimous decision! The winners of the No Name Club National Youth Awards 2024 are Ava Connaughton from Kilbride No Name Club and Georgina Casey from Kilkenny No Name Club! Congratulations to all our worthy finalists and thank you for your bravery and confidence in entering the National Youth Awards. Both winners will now take on the title of 'Host of the Year' and will perform associated duties within the No Name Club family over the next year.
After prizes were handed out, young people, invited guests and winners danced the night away to some amazing tunes from DJ Paul Kavanagh. As a completely alcohol free event, it was heartening to see so many young people and adults in a room having so much fun and laughter!
No Name Club aims to empower young people to make informed decisions and to mature without a reliance on alcohol or other drugs.
